| The word ""fine" does not so much denote the quality of the artwork in question but rather the purity of the overall discipline. Ultimately, the genesis for the word fine as used in "fine art" is with the concept of final cause or purpose or end, as defined within the philosophy of Aristotle. The final cause of fine art is the art itself; it is not a means to another end except perhaps to please those who behold it. |
| Fine Art Photography Fine art refers to arts that are concerned with a limited number of visual and performing art forms. Schools, institutions and other organizations still use the term to refer to a traditional perspective on the art forms and thereby often imply an association with classic or academic art. |

| Many of my Fine art prints are available through Saatchi online. The Saatchi Gallery opened in Chelsea in October 2008. The Duke of York's HQ, Sloane Square, offers an ideal environment to view contemporary art, with very large well-proportioned rooms and high ceilings. The Gallery occupies the entire 70,000 sq ft building giving the gallery scope for a book shop, educational facilities and a restaurant café/bar. It is ideally located in a central London location on Kings Road, Chelsea. |
